Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer captured animal abuse database a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.
Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
